JAMMU, Feb 27: Once in a week, one is observing that JDA retrieved so many kanals of "Prime Land" but had ever top bosses tried to fix the responsibility of concerned officers, who allowed these encroachments? How these encroachments occurred on JDA lands? Had JDA fenced its lands prior to encroachments?, are some questions on JDA as a whole.
Important is to looked into by Commissioner/Secretary, H&UDD & VC JDA that if JDA is so keenly aware of its lands & acting tough on vacation of encroached lands of JDA but needed to acted upon that why these so called "prime lands" were not fenced properly or utilized for any Govt purpose, why were kept vacant for such episodes of encroachments & thereafter photo sessions of JDA officers that they have done a great job by vacating their own land, otherwise it is their duty to safeguard their lands.
However, Pankaj Sharma from the day has taken over as VC JDA has retrieved hundred kanal of prime land from the illegal encroachers & further keeping focus to retrieve more such lands in near future & warned encroachers to face actions, if will not stop such illegal acts.
However, Jammu Development Authority today retrieved approximately 60 kanals of prime land in Gadigarh, which valued in crores of rupees was unlawfully occupied by encroachers.
A drive was conducted on the directions of Pankaj Sharma, VC JDA & team lead by Megha Gupta, Tehsildar JDA, with the support of the Naib Tehsildar JDA and the concerned revenue and enforcement field staff.
The drive was carefully monitored by Garbi Rashid, Director of Land Management and carried out under the overall supervision of Mandeep Kour, Comm/Secy, H&UDD & Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Vice Chairman JDA.
The operation also saw the active involvement of the Revenue team from Tehsil Jammu South, working under the supervision of Rafiq A Jaral, SDM Jammu South. Additionally, a police team led by SHO Satwari provided crucial assistance in the execution of the operation.
During the drive, the illegal structures were dismantled and JDA signboards were installed to demarcate the land. The land’s strategic location and its potential for future development projects make it a significant asset for the region.
Now, it is important that VC JDA should get the details of all JDA lands & should see, whether these lands are properly fenced, if not act to fence or use it for any public purpose or govt purpose in the interest of Government.
