Srinagar April 20: The Government has sought explanation from three officials including a Tehsildar for not attending District Development Council Review meeting in Pulwama in violation of the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Raj Act rules.
The three officers include Tehsildar Kakapora, Assistant Executive Engineer PHE Kakapora and CDPO Kakapora, who were found absent from the meeting, held on Saturday,19 April, 2025.
The order issued by BDO said that "Whereas, the District Development Council has informed all line Departments of Block Kakapora to attend an important Review Meeting on 19-04-2025 at Block Headquarter Kakapora.
“Whereas, the same meeting notice has been issued and shared by the Block Development Officer Kakapora vide his office letter No. BDOK/Estt/24/86-90 dated 15- 04-2025 in District and Block Whatsapp groups.
"Whereas, the Chairperson District Development Council Pulwama and DDC Member Kakapoara- l, Mr Abdul Qayoom Mir, while reviewing the developmental activities of block Kakapora found that you have not attended the said meeting,” the order said.
The BDO said that keeping in view of the above facts, “I am directed to seek explanation from you for your absence from the said Review meeting within 02 days.” (KNS)
