New Delhi, Feb 24: Central Bureau of Investigation has apprehended accused Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police, PS Sunlight, New Delhi for demanding and accepting bribe amount of Rs 10,000/- from the complainant.
A case was registered by CBI on 20.02.2025 against accused Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) on allegations that said accused demanded a bribe of Rs.30,000/- from the complainant for not taking any action on the complaint lodged against his wife.
After negotiations, accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant.
CBI laid a trap and caught accused ASI while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from complainant. Investigation is continuing.
