JAMMU, Jan 01: Jammu Club welcomed the New Year 2024 with resounding cheer and fervor within the Club premises. The celebration was marked by the presence of distinguished guests, high-spirited performances, and a collective spirit of optimism for the year ahead.
The special guests for the evening were Sh. Ramesh Kumar IAS, Divisional Commissioner, and Sh. Anand Jain IPS, ADGP.
Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner and Vice President of Jammu Club, and Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP, lent their esteemed presence to the event, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
The highlight of the evening was the mesmerizing performance by renowned Bollywood singer Neha Bhasin. Her power-packed musical renditions captivated the audience, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Pertinent to mention here that it’s first time in the history that any bollywood singer has performed in the Club. Gaurav Gupta, Honorary Secretary of Jammu Club, led the Executive Members and the entire staff in participating wholeheartedly in the New Year celebrations.
In his address, Gaurav Gupta extended heartfelt greetings to everyone, expressing his wish that the New Year brings peace, happiness, and prosperity to all. He emphasized the importance of the year ahead, hoping for development, harmony, social integration, and improved health for the people of the Union Territory.
Conveying his optimism for the Club's future, Gaurav Gupta stated, "Under the dynamic supervision of our Vice President, we are achieving new heights, and I am confident that in the near future, Jammu Club will reach unprecedented milestones." The Secretary highlighted that the Club's commitment to hosting such events goes beyond entertainment, playing a pivotal role in preserving and promoting the rich traditions of the region. He underscored the significance of these celebrations as a reflection of the vibrant culture of Jammu, encompassing colorful dance performances, delectable ethnic cuisine, and much more.
The Secretary also expressed gratitude to Mrs Indu Puri ,Chairperson Entertainment Sub Committee and sponsors for making this event a memorable.
He also extended special thanks to Managing Committee members for extending their whole-hearted for successful conduct of this event. He also conveyed his thanks to staff members for their support and cooperation. The Secretary assured the Club members that such programmes will continue in near future in their general interest. Later, the Secretary has also honoured the bollywood singer for her tremendous performance.
As Jammu Club continues to be a beacon of community engagement, the New Year celebrations serve as a testament to its dedication to fostering a sense of togetherness and celebration within the region.
