Srinagar, June 27: Managing Director KPDCL, along with CE, Project Wing, KPDCL and other key officials of KPDCL and Project Implementing Agency RECPDCL, today took an extensive tour of Srinagar Circle to review the progress of erection works under Centrally Sponsored Schemes IPDS & PMDP-Urban. Besides other sites MD, KPDCL visited 33/11 kV Receiving Station near Bone & Joint Hospital wherein Augmentation of Station from existing capacity of 2x6.3 MVA to 2x10 MVA works were commenced recently. The increase in capacity of receiving station from 12.6 MVA to 20 MVA shall ensure reliability and better power supply to Bone & Joint hospital and the adjoining areas being fed from the Station. Being an important Station MD Directed PIA RECPDCL to complete the works within stipulated time frame
After that MD, KPDCL visited proposed new Station in Wanbal, Kralpora wherein MD reviewed the progress of erection of 1x10 MVA Station. MD directed the PIA and executing agency to complete the works by October, 2020 to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the area in upcoming winter.
MD, KPDCL also visited Hyderpora area wherein Erection of 766 number of poles and the subsequent strengthening in existing distribution system is being carried out. The area is being fed by 11kV Rawalpora Feeder 4 which is feeding Hyderpora and adjoining areas.
MD, KPDCL expressed satisfaction on the pace of works and appreciated efforts of KPDCL, PIA RECPDCL and the executing agency M/S Techno Electric Engineering Company Limited. MD, KPDCL directed all stake holders to expedite the works and complete the same before onset of winter to ensure uninterrupted and reliable power to the people, besides reduction in Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses.
