KATHUA, June 10: Meals to over 17,000 stranded persons twice a day and reaching to the neddy people , this is how  SSP Kathua Shailendra Mishra , Kathua United Police & Public of Kathua wrote a script that will talked upon for years to come post Covid 19 era in Kathua district.

The volunteers, working under the banner of ''United Kathua Jammu and Kashmir Police, helped the district administration to cope up with the challenge posed by the  lockdown during this Covid 19 pandemic.

With Lakhanpur , the place where all the Road Transport was moving in and major number of Stranded persons, there was always some thing special needed , and public of Kathua , which is known for their kind heart came forward to donate Rs 5 crores, which is not small at all, and from this amount it was only possible to feed such huge number of Stranded persons.

People who donated generously , under condition of any anonymity told Cross Town News, that SSP Kathua Shailendra Mishra brought up a noble idea to help Standed Passenegers through Kathua united Police, where we all of us were to become part of system, we came forward donated for this noble cause , but creadit goes to SSP Mishra as he is the one who united the Public of Kathua for this noble cause, where twice a day meal was given to Stranded persons and during Lockdown ,Necessary items were provided to needy people.

A  War Room was established in the building of District Police Office, Kathua, with  infrastructure infor round the clock functioning under the direct supervision of the SSP Mishra

Kathua United Police which remained in picture for around 75 to 80 days before turning off couple of days ago, will go down as on the biggest thing in the recent history of Kathua district.
