SRINAGAR, Apr 4: Legislative party meeting of the ruling National Conference and its alliance partners here on Friday passed two resolutions.
The National Conference said it wants to run the government with “love and respect” and its silence should not be construed as its “weakness”, and requested the BJP-led central government to “not push them to the wall”.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired the meeting , attended by National Conference president Farooq Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Cabinet ministers, all MLAs of the NC, and four Congress legislators and independents supporting the National Conference.
Two resolutions were passed:
1) Rejection of the discriminatory Waqf Amendment Bill, 2025.
2) Urging GOI to respect the people’s mandate.
