JAMMU, Apr 27: Failures of DCs as increasing corruption in JKUT especially in Revenue Department by procedure of so called online system because none of the DCs bothered to sought monthly reports of Fard, Mutation, Nishandehi, etc etc issued which are applied during the month?
Most of the DCs not bothered to accord due test check as required under rules along with other Officers including ACR & SDMs to check the genuineness of "Girdawaris" being entered for the actual as per the status of land as on day, which is being done twice in a year?
However, CTN is is possession of a document of Samba District, in which case a so called honest Patwari, who issued the fard of a plot, thereafter entered mutation of the same plot but the same Patwari on the online application for Nishandehi of plot, rejected it after lapse of 30 days with observations that the applicant did not showed the site, whereas did not tell it to applicant.
It is to mention here that, whereas he use to on plot for his vested consideration, thereafter but after the intervention of Managing Editor Cross Town News , immediately full team of officers gave nishandehi of the said plot, raised some questions.
The CBI, Jammu today for detecting one case of corruption of so called online services, has arrested a Patwari namely Surinder Kumar, Patwari Sudh Mahadev, tehsil Chenani for accepting a bribe amount of Rs 40000 in lieu of issuance of fard even through online portal.
The accused deliberately rejected two applications of the complainant for issuance of the Revenue Document without any valid reason but, when the complainant met with the patwari, the latter demanded a bribe of Rs 50000 for its issuance.
On a complaint, which was verified discreetly to find out that the accused official actually demanded Rs 50000 and later agreed to issue the revenue document in lieu of Rs 40000.
Accordingly, a trap was laid in the presence of independent witnesses and the accused was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting Rs 40000 from the complainant.
Subsequently, he was arrested and a search was carried out at his residential premises.
Later, the accused was produced before the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption (CBI cases) Jammu today and the court remanded the accused to judicial custody for 14 days.
