JAMMU, Apr 18:JDA conducted a massive Anti Encroachment drive at Rajinder Nagar under the direction of Vice Chairman with the active support from District Administration and Police Department. The authority successfully sealed a newly constructed building which was earlier stopped at various stages and retrieved approximately 25 kanals of JDA land which was levelled by illegal encroachers adjoining this building. Besides with the hectic efforts of Revenue wing of JDA and Revenue department approximately there is likelihood of 150 kanals of JDA land in kh no 654 and 683 which the JDA has started retrieving during this course of action.
Many land mafia tried constructing one temple and started using naive public to stop the action of JDA but JDA in well planned manner alongwith District administration and District Police rretrieved this important land which is more than 30 crores. The JDA sign board were installed in the retrieved land. The said land was properly fenced .The anti encroachment drive was concluded successfully.
Now the JDA has pressed into action for retrieving the other portion of land along Nallah so that land ll be given to public after plotting and following the due course of Lottery system or there is also likelihood of JDA going into vertical construction at the place to satiate the public demand of flatted accommodations.
