Jammu, Apr 03: Continuing its anti-encroachment and demolition drive against land mafia as well as against building violations, on the instructions of Mandeep Kour, Comm/Secy, H&UDD & Pankaj Sharma, VC JDA, Jammu Development Authority, carried out a significant anti-encroachment and demolition drive in close coordination with District Administration and Police.
The drive, aimed at reclaiming encroached land, and taking action violators & the operation was well coordinated in which District Administration provided magisterial support and presence of police ensuring the smooth conduct of this anti-encroachment drive.
The operation targeted the village Gole opposite Govt degree college, Bhagwati Nagar with recent encroachments & during the drive, 03 illegal houses and 9 plinths were demolished, successfully retrieving 15 kanals of JDA land.
Besides giving a strong message to all illegal encroachers and other builders in the area that no one will get away with impunity, all encroachers are subject to law.
The drive was a success, not only in removing illegal encroachments but also in raising awareness among residents about the importance of knowing the procedure for carrying out construction on the land with clear title under ownership as government or JDA land shall be retrieved by the JDA and administration without fail.
However, the entire drive was conducted under the directions of Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Vice Chairman, JDA & was aimed at reclaiming encroached land.
On the spot the drive was conducted by Mr. Garbi Rashid (JKAS), DLM, Tehsildar JDA, and Khilafwarzi officers/officials from JDA side. SP Rural Brijesh Kumar, SDPO Domana, SHO Domana from Police Administrative steered the operation.
Magistrate from District Administration was deputed by the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu to provide necessary magistral support.
Vice Chairman, JDA again gave a clear message to the public that they should ensure construction of housing after verifying the title of land. The JDA shall remain committed to ensuring that public land is safeguarded against unauthorized encroachments and will continue such efforts in the future.
