POONCH, APRIL 02: District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to assess the working of the Food Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Department, including stock and supply position in the District.
Assistant Director FCS&CA Adil Shabir and all Tehsil Supply Officers (TSO)s of the district attended the meeting.
At the outset, the Assistant Director FCS&CA gave a detailed presentation regarding the functioning of the department. He said that the district boasts ample reserves of essential commodities including wheat, rice, LPG, petrol and diesel.
“To ensure widespread accessibility, the department utilizes seven stores and 167 fair price shops and 20 Government sale depots for ration distribution,” he added.
A thorough discussion ensued and the DDC reviewed the implementation of e-KYC/e-Shram/NFSA/Non-NFSA & PMFSS schemes focusing on three categories of Non- Priority Households (NPHH), Priority Households (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY).
He reviewed the current status and issues faced by the TSOs in their respective zones.
The DDC reviewed E-KYC reports from each zone and asked the TSOs to complete the E-KYC registration in their jurisdictions. He also discussed issues related to online transactions, instructing officers to only provide ration through online mode.
Manual or offline ration provision is not permitted only in areas having network issues. The Assistant Director was asked to review the network location of the offline PoS Machine again.
