JAMMU, Mar 21: The Crime Branch has booked the owner of a private security agency for allegedly using a forged PSARA (Private Security Agencies Regulation Act) certificate to gain illegal entry into Government tenders.
It said one Ram Sharma, the proprietor of Unique Sanitation and Outsourcing Services, allegedly modified and submitted a PSARA certificate that was originally issued to another agency.
This allowed him to secure contracts in tenders for Government departments, including the Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu and Government Medical College Rajouri.
The case came to light after a complaint was filed by one Imran Khan of Bathindi, Jammu, who alleged that Sharma forged the PSARA certificate to participate in and win Government tenders, thereby committing fraud and forgery.
Based on the complaint and an initial verification, Senior Superintendent of Police, Crime Jammu, Benam Tosh, said the Crime Branch registered a case under FIR number 18/2025.
Accordingly, he said that a DySP ranked officer has been assigned to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.
