JAMMU, Mar 09: Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan chaired a high-level security review meeting in Jammu today, focusing on the prevailing security scenario, counter-terror operations, and emerging threats .
The meeting was attended by senior officers from the J&K government, central agencies, and J&K police, including J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat, IG Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti, and IG Kashmir VK Birdi.
Key discussion points included:
• Security Preparedness for Amarnath Yatra: Ensuring the safety and security of the annual holy pilgrimage.
•Counter-Terror Operations: Reviewing strategies to combat terrorism and maintain peace in the region.
•Emerging Threats and Anti-Infiltration Measures: Addressing potential security risks and strengthening measures to prevent infiltration.
This meeting comes on the heels of a similar high-level security review chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, which aimed to maintain secure environment in Jammu and Kashmir.
