Jammu, 08.03.2025 As per the directions of the *senior formations in a recent meeting related to traffic violations, a drive was conducted *today, March 8, 2025*, across key locations in the City North Jammu area.
The drive was supervised by *SSP Jammu, Shri Joginder Singh*, and *Superintendent of Police City North, Jammu, Shri Vivek Shekhar-JKPS*, and led by *SPDO City North, Jammu, Vikram Bhau-JKPS*, along with his team, including SHO P/S Bus Stand, SHO P/S Pacca Danga, SHO P/S City, SHO P/S Peermitha, and different Police Posts.
It is a determined effort to enhance road safety and curb traffic violations, the City North Jammu Police launched a large-scale crackdown, seized 45 vehicles and Challaned 40 vehicles for Pressure horns and music systems in a single drive.
This action aimed to maintain law and order and implement traffic rules on City North roads, focusing primarily on traffic violations such as vehicles without number plates, pressure horns, modified vehicles, and driving without valid documents.
Additionally, strict action was taken against 05 persons driving under the influence of alcohol. Key Highlights of the Drive:
✅ 45 Vehicles seized – The police impounded two-wheelers and other vehicles involved in traffic violations. ✅ 18 Pressure horns removed from different vehicles. ✅ 16 Modified Music System were removed. ✅ 40 vehicles were Challaned. ✅ Strict Enforcement Measures –Challans were issued, and violators faced legal consequences as per traffic regulations. ✅ Emphasis on Road Safety – The initiative aims to reduce accidents and ensure safer roads for commuters.
City North Jammu Police will conduct daily drives to crack down on traffic violators. This move is expected to lead to stricter monitoring and swift action against those who flout traffic rules.
