J&K Govt begins process for induction of Officers into IPS  ; Dillema on choosing IPS/State Cadre among Officers

JAMMU, Jan 8: Jammu and Kashmir Government has initiated process for induction of nine officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police Services into Indian Police Service.

Sources told Cross Town News that some Officers are in dilemma whether to go for IPs or for promotion under State cadre by J&K Police recruitment rules.

Sources told Cross Town News that names of 7 JKPS officers were cleared for promotion to IGP , DIG under State cadre , whereas Official order expected soon,  but most of the Officers are now in dilemma which way to follow as after cadre strenth enhancement by MHA of AGMUT cadre , which was reported first by Cross Town News.

Now with previous vacancies and increase in induction Seats into IPS , "the effect from" will be a factor for Officers to decide.

Nevertheless, Jammu and Kashmir Government has initiated the process for induction of JKPS Officers into IPS.
