Govt rejects request of resignation of an IPS Officer

Patna, Dec 31: The resignation an IPS Officer, Kamya Misra (IPS: 2019: BH) has been rejected by the Bihar government, and instead, she was granted 180 days of leave starting in November 2024.

As part of a reshuffle within Bihar’s police force, she was attached to the Bihar Police Headquarters, where she is awaiting a new posting as Superintendent of Police.

She had resigned from her post as the Rural Superintendent of Police in Darbhanga on August 6, 2024, citing personal reasons.

Her husband, Avdhesh Saroj Dixit (IPS: 2019: BH) currently serves as the Superintendent of Police in Gopalganj, after previously holding the position of City SP in Muzaffarpur.
