Crime Branch books four accused for their involvement in fictitious sale of a Sainik Colony plot

JAMMU, Nov 23: The Crime Branch wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police has booked four accused for their involvement in fictitious sale of a Sainik Colony plot in Jammu.

Previously, one Ajay Choudhary lodged a complaint alleging on August 20, 2020, the accused Bachan Lal and Satinder Singh showed him Plot No. 535, Sector-F, Sainik Colony, Jammu for sale & they also introduced him to one Gursagar Singh who told him that he was having a full and final payment agreement with R N Sharma and original documents of the said plot.

On the basis of sale agreement, original documents of plot and telephonic conversation with R.N Sharma, the complainant Ajay Choudhary agreed to purchase the said plot & made a payment of Rs 3,00,0000 as ‘Bayana’ in cash which was received by accused Gursagar Singh.

Thereafter, another amount of Rs. 48,00,000 was transferred in the two account numbers provided by Gursagar Singh and R N Sharma.

Later, Ajay requested Gursagar Singh to execute Power of Attorney, Will and Sale Agreement as promised to him at the time of ‘Bayana’, to which he agreed.

All the accused persons again asked Ajay to give Rs 7,00,000 more, which he immediately transferred so that the registration process could be completed at an earliest possible but said plot was not registered in his name.

The accused persons again asked Ajay for remaining payment of Rs. Rs 4,00,000 but he didn’t pay the same and asked them to get the plot registered in his name first.

Subsequently, on suspecting some foul play Ajay Choudhary filed an application before the Sainik Colony Society for blocking the sale of said land.

The preliminary verification report revealed that all the four accused by hatching conspiracy, committed cheating and duped the complainant of hard earned money.

An FIR under sections 420, 120-B IPC has been registered against Gursagar Singh Jammu and others for in-depth investigation.
