CBI Court sentenced Manager (General) of FCI to 2.5 years Rigorous Imprisonment in bribery case

Patna, Nov 15: The Ld. Special Judge-I for CBI cases, Patna has today sentenced Shri Nagendra Prasad Singh, then Manager (General) of Food Corporation of India, Muzaffarpur to 2.5 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) with fine of Rs. 30,000/- in a case of bribary.

CBI had registered the instant case on 19.03.2010 against accused Shri Nagendra Prasad Singh, then Manager (General) of Food Corporation of India, Muzaffarpur.

It was alleged that accused had demanded bribe of Rs. 5000/- from complainant, Daudnagar, Aurangabad for passing bills.

CBI had then laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding and accepting Rs. 5000/- from the complainant.

After completion of investigation, charge-sheet was filed by CBI on 28.09.2010 against said accused.

The Court, after trial, found the accused guilty and sentenced him accordingly.
