JAMMU, Oct 24: Demands have been rising for representation of Sikh Community in Jammu and Kashmir Government.
"BJP and Congress have given tickets to Sikh candidates but National conference seems to have forgotten the community at large.
I do hope that party will take this into account and CM of the UT Omar Abdullah must take cognizance of this fact," said Joginder Singh, former Joint Registrar High Court of J&K & Ladakh.
Group of people from the community speaking to Cross Town News said that CM Omar Abdullah must bring one person from the Sikh community as Minister or on substantial post in the government so that we also have the respentation in the government.
Expert of Political matter speaking to Cross Town News said Sikh community can have impact on atleast ten seats in Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference , which advoacted representation to all in government formation , and made Deputy Chief Minister from Jammu region, can move forward on this line too.
