JAMMU, Oct 14: The Central Administrative Tribunal Jammu Bench comprising Rajinder Dogra, Judicial Member and Ram Mohan Johri, Administrative Member. has quashed the suspension of one Ramesh Kumar Bhat, a senior Police Officer of J&K Cadre.
The Bench directed the Government to issue integrity certificate in favour of the applicant in service in pursuance of the selection by selection committee, which met on 29.07.2021 and 21.07.2023.
The Government should go ahead for the induction of the applicant into IPS services for the select year 2012-13 and for the selection of year 2015 at the appropriate place as per his seniority in 1999 batch of JKPS.
One post of IPS from the AGMUT shall be reserved for him as per order dated 22.12.2023 passed by this Court and directed that this process shall be completed within a period of four weeks.
The CAT said that a person cannot be kept under suspension for immemorial time and if there is no charge sheet and no enquiry has been conducted against the person, it deserves to be quashed and he should be considered for the promotion.
