2 JKPS Officers with 22 yrs of Service with top seniority may be inducted as IGPs, 6 with 18 yrs of Service as DIGs in J&K

JAMMU, Oct 07: Two  JKPS Officers with 22 years of Service with top seniority may be inducted as IGPs ,whereas six JKPS officers with 18 years of Service as DIGs without induction into IPS.

Sources told Cross Town News that proposal regarding this  was given cleareance by then BJP-PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir , but could not be implemented as was not not given final shape.

Sources told Cross Town News that the propsosal is being given final shape and likely to be implemented in coming months.

The eight JKPS Officers with top seniority from 1999 batch are likely to be inducted , where there are still susbstantial number of Officers from the batch who were not inducted into IPS.

Experts told Cross Town News that Officers will be at freedom to apply for this cadre or follw the IPS induction route.

Experts added the cadre is more for those Officers who want to stay away from AGMUT cadre (postings in other segments outside J&K also) and still get benefit of Ranks and Salary/pensionary benefits of IGP/DIGs.
