JAIPUR, Oct 04: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Rajasthan government carried out searches on properties linked to IAS officer Rajendra Vijay in connection with a disproportionate assets case following which multiple ACB teams conducted searches in four places in Jaipur, Kota and Dausa.
In the morning, the IAS officer, who was posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kota, was removed, who took charge as the Divisional Commissioner on September 25.
ACB said that during the search at the IAS officer’s Jaipur residence, documents of 13 residential and commercial plots, including a “luxurious” house on Tonk Road and a commercial showroom of a leading garment brand at a prime location in Ashok Marg, C Scheme, Jaipur, were found. Additionally, cash worth more than Rs 2.22 lakh, gold jewellery weighing 335 grams, silver jewellery weighing 11.8 kg and three four wheelers have been found.
Apart from this, investments in several insurance policies, a bank locker (which is yet to be opened) and 16 different bank accounts in which lakhs of rupees are deposited have been found, the bureau claimed.
