JAMMU, Sept 5: There are countless questions on countless officers of JKUT for their intentional delays in public works .
However, Cross Town News is in possession of lot of documents where time bound directions of LG/CS/Court orders not bothered by various officers but officers sitting in the office of LG/CS with huge salaries never bothered to take up the issue with LG/CS for non compliance.
Now, one can see the working of LGs Administration that more than years have lapsed since notification yet Draft Master Plans of several towns but have not been finalized even after inviting suggestions and objections from the public mainly.
Patnitop is the leading the chapter that despite 5 years over , still Patnitop area Master plan is not being implemented.
Town Planning Organization submitted Draft Master Plans of Ramban and Banihal towns to the district administration for publication following which vide two separate notifications dated June 13, 2022, these Draft Master Plans were uploaded on the websites of Town Planning Organization, Jammu, District Development Commissioner Ramban and Housing and Urban Development Department for inviting objections and suggestions within a period of 60 days,but , despite lapse of more than two years the Draft Master Plans have not been finalized.
Now it is question on Govt that what was the objective of framing the Draft Master Plans if the same were not to be finalized for planned development of respective towns & remains a million dollar question on JKUT Govt.
Other side LG Administration always speak for development of Tourist Spots in J&K but one cannot understand that if Govt is sleeping to notify final Revised Master Plan of Patnitop Dev Authority till today despite lapse of years causing hinderances in new developments in the best tourist Spot of Jammu Province.
LG is Chairman of the said Authority & CS is the vice Chairman & till today applying Building Bye Laws of Master Plan of 2020 is totally illegal & unjustified & needed to be acted upon.
Above all it is also an issue of great concern that Jammu Master Plan was notified in March, 2017 & as per Development Act of 1970, Master Plan is to be revised after every 5 years but on today 07 years has lapsed but public is waiting for revision from JDA as per law & needs of the day?
