JAMMU, Aug 10: Central Government likelt to review the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre strength in AGMUT cadre soon.
As per details with Cross Town News, the IPS cadre strength of Mahrashtra and Andhra Pradesh have already been done.
Normally ,every five years, the Centre conducts a review of the cadre strength of each state/UT.
As Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have become part of the AGMUT cadre , this time the review of cadre strength of IPS officer will hold lot of significance.
Sources told Cross Town News that overall strength of the AGMUT cadre likely to be increased , where simultaneously the strength of IPS officers Jammu and Kashmir can be increased and strength can be defined first time for Ladakh segment.
With increase in overall strength of IPS Officers in the cadre , the number of promotion of State Servicec Police Officres into IPS likely to also increase.
