Mendhar, July 18. Kabbadi Coaching Summer Camp jointly organised by Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabbadi Association and Jammu and Kashmir Sports council which was started on 4th of July concluded today at Govt HSS Boys Mendhar. Both Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabbadi Association and Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council organized a grand closing ceremony of the Camp at the same venue. Brigadier Dipendra Singh Commander 323 Mountain Brigade graced the event as the Chief Guest. Many other army officers including Col. Gurucharan Bais, Col. Bhakta Rout, Lt.Col. Raj Shekhar Binu and Lt.Col. H. Khagemba attended the closing ceremony of Kabbadi coaching summer camp.
Presence of Kuldeep Kumar Gupta general secretary Amateur Kabbadi Association, S.S. Gill Technical Director, Baljinder Paul Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu,Surinder Mohan Gupta Observer and Amin Khan fitness trainer J&K Police made the event more special.
The ceremony started with a warm welcome address by Mir Alam, Coordinator, Kabbadi coaching summer camp followed by presentation of Bouquet and Shawl to the chief guest and other dignitaries.
Worthy Chief guest praised the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabbadi Association and Sports Council for organizing such Kabbadi events which not only help the students to participate in games at national and international level but also help in their physical and mental wellness.
It is pertinent to mention that camp aims to provide intensive training and guidance to the students, under the expertise of experienced coaches covering various aspects of Kabbadi, including techniques, strategies, and physical conditioning. A total of 70 Kabbadi Players from nine districts viz. Jammu, kathua, samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Udhampur, Doda and Ramban of Jammu province participated in the summer camp. The players were given participation certificates who remained the part of summer camp.
The event was witnessed by many noble citizens including Syed Saleem Shah, Principal HSS Boys Mendhar, Syed Zulfiqar Naqvi Principal HSS Girls Mendhar, Prof. (Dr.) Sirshad Hussain, Prof. Ibrahim Lone, Ajay Gupta Chief Coach Kabbadi Sports council J&K, Nirdosh Kumar Sharma Manager sports stadium Poonch, Choudhary Mohd Ashraf Ex. Sarpanch Dabraj, Mushtaq Ahmed Ex. Sarpanch Salwah, Mahboob Ahmed Mir PEL, Basharat Khan ZPEO, Ibrar Ahmed Khan PEM, Suresh Bali Physical Master, Vikram Bhasin PET, Kafil Khan Taxi Association President Mendhar, Staff members of HSS Boys & Girls and many students.
Appreciation certificates were also given to Syed Saleem Shah Principal HSS Boys Mendhar, Vikram Bhasin PET and Parwaz Azam Khan teacher for playing a crucial part in organising the event. Parwaz Azam Khan teacher anchored the event as well.
The kabbadi coaching summer camp concluded with a group photo and vote of thanks by Kuldeep Kumar Gupta general secretary Amateur Kabbadi Association Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. Gupta extended his thankfulness to principal HSS Boys Mendhar for providing venue for organizing summer camp. He further thanked health department Mendhar for providing medical facilities to the players during the summer camp and all the stakeholders who made their contribution in the summer camp by one or the other way.
