Prominent Gujjar-Bakerwal from Rajouri join BJP in Masses: Vibodh

RAJOURI , Mar 16:  Under the Labharthi Samparak Abhiyan, BJP J&K Secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta, along with Sarpanch Shazia Tabassum visited village Mehari Gujran and interacted with the beneficiaries of various schemes of the Modi government. “It was delightful to interact with beneficiaries of various schemes of the GOI. An elderly person shared how Ayushman Bharat helped in treating a heart ailment, and a woman farmer’s life changed due to PM-KISAN. Others talked about free ration, benefits for Divyangs, PM-AWAS, Kisan Credit Cards, Ujjwala Yojana, and more. It is indeed satisfying to see the fruits of development reach a cross-section of people, even in the more remote areas,” said Vibodh while addressing the gathering of beneficiaries. Later, in a joining program, hundreds of tribal people, including prominent Gujjars and Bakarwals, joined BJP and expressed their gratitude towards Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and Hon'ble LG Manoj Sinha for fulfilling their long pending demands. "While addressing the newcomers, Vibodh highlighted the Modi government's achievement of providing dedicated 10% reservation for the Pahari Tribe and three other tribes, while also reaffirming the commitment to the Gujjars and Bakerwals and strengthening Gujjar-Bakerwal-Pahari cultural herritage. This significant step not only ends the divisive tactics of the NC and PDP but also showcases the BJP's unwavering dedication to inclusive development." Speaking on the Modi government's initiative for Empowering Scheduled Tribes in J&K, and restoring their dignity Vibodh underscored, “Scheduled Tribes have ensured increased representation in the legislative assembly as nine seats have been reserved for them for the first time. Significant investments have been made by setting up eight new tribal hostels, 200 smart schools, and 6 Eklavya Model Residential Schools. Tribals have also been supported with skill development initiatives. He firmly asserted that the Rajouri-Anantnag Parliamentary Seat will witness a historic victory for the BJP, as tribal communities have pledged their votes and support to their charismatic Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
