JAMMU, Feb 07: Vikas Kundal, IAS, Managing Director, JPDCL, Jammu paid a surprise visit to Data Centre as well as Customer Care Centre at Gladni Grid Station Complex, Narwal today morning. During the visit MD JPDCL inspected the Customer care centre and directed the concerned officers to remain available 24x7 to resolve consumer’s grievances.
He also appealed the general public to call on Toll free numbers 1912/0191-2479122 in case of any grievances related to billing or power issues. MD JPDCL during the inspection was apprised about the system up-gradations which have been recently made in the JPDCL software to connect it with smart meters and Banking software to provide seamless experience to the end consumers of JPDCL.
MD JPDCL during the visit emphasised that JPDCL software should be continuously upgraded to meet the challenging requirements as the consumer base of JPDCL is increasing and successful installation and shifting to smart meters shall require a lot of back end support. MD JPDCL also issued on spot instructions that the data Centre Staff in general to keep a check on hooking and bypassing of meters through online mode and report such cases to the concerned sub-divisions for strict action against the erring consumers.
Sh. Vikas Kundal (IAS) MD JPDCL was accompanied by Chief Engineer, (Distribution) Sh. Bavinder Kundal while Sh. Anil Verma, Executive Engineer IT & C Division, JPDCL explained the overall working of the IT Division to the inspecting officers.
