Central Govt appoints 18 Officers as Additional Secretaries

NEW DELHI, Jan 09: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments:

i. Shri Sanjeev Kumar Jindal, CSS:89, Joint Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs as Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs.

ii. Shri Asit Gopal, IFoS (MP:90), Commissioner, Eklavya Model Residential School, National Educational Society for Tribal Students, Ministry of Tribal Affairs as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Textiles by cancelling the appointment of Shri Shakeel P. Ahammed, IAS (AM:95) vide order dated 06.11.2023.

iii. Ms. Tripti Gurha, IRTS:93, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development. iv. Shri Samir Kumar Sinha, IAS (AM:94), presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary & Director General (Acquisition), Department of Defence.

v. Shri Bharat Harbanslal Khera, IAS (HP:95), presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.

vi. Shri Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS (UT:95), presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary & Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation vice Shri Vikas Sheel, IAS (CG:94) upon his appointment as Executive Director, Asian Development Bank by continuing the temporary upgradation of the post.

vii. Ms. Puja Singh Mandol, IA&AS:95, Joint Director General, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation vice Shri Alok Shekhar, IAS (PB:94) upon his repatriation to parent cadre.

2. The ACC has also approved in-situ upgradation of the following officers to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India as a measure personal to them by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:

i. Ms. Shubha Thakur, CSS:89, Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

ii. Ms. Sanjukta Mudgal, IFoS (MP:90), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Culture.

iii. Shri Anant Swarup, IRPS:92, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

iv. Shri Navaljit Kapoor, IRS (IT:92), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

v. Shri Manoj Pandey, IRS (IT:92), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

vi. Shri Rahul Navin, IRS (IT:93), Special Director, Directorate of Enforcement as Special Director, Directorate of Enforcement in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

vii. Shri Anurag Bajpai, IFoS (MN:94), Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production.

viii. Shri Alok Pande, IPoS:94, Joint Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance as Additional Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance.

ix. Shri Sunil Kumar, IFoS (PB:95), Joint Secretary, Department of Science & Technology as Additional Secretary, Department of Science & Technology.

x. Shri Hanif Qureshi, IPS (HY:96), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries.

xi. Shri Anandrao Vishnu Patil, IAS (TN:98), Joint Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy as Additional Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy.
