JAMMU, OCTOBER 14: It is well aware of the fact of harassment to thousand of innocents by Tourism Dept/PDA, they speak about boosting Tourism & developing tourist spots in J&K, but proved as failures over a small issue in issuing notification over Revised Master Plan of Patnitop Dev Authority despite lapse of time period because previous was notified in year 2000, 23 years back.
It is biggest ever question on Chairman, Vice Chairman, Members of the said authority for not detecting the said fraud on the part of CEO, PDA for not processing the issue as per directions/instructions/guidelines in Development Act of 1970 for revisions of Mater Plan?
However, after publications by Cross Town News over the harassment issue by PDA, then Secretary constituted a committee headed by Director Tourism to submit report over revised Master Plan in 15 days vide GO dtd 03.11.2022 but till day those 15 days have not lapsed, clearly speak of so called work culture in J&K but none acted on them for non compliance & intentional delay in public works?
However, in the interest of public, Cross Town News Team made a complaint to LG Office over the said issue, which was forwarded to concerned & also requests were made to Div Com ,Jammu , who whole heartedly understood the issues and now Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar chaired a significant meeting to oversee the progress on the revision of master plan of the Patnitop Development Authority and related issues.
But, CEO of the Patnitop Development Authority Sher Singh provided progress made in the preparation of the Master Plan under revision, but which stands there as it was years back in 2017 onwards but due to his non interests to resolve the issue raised by TPO years back, would have been enquired to fix the responsibility of the concerned officers for causing intentional delays?
The Divisional Commissioner directed the Town Planning Organization to submit optimum/specific observations within a period of 15 day & CEO of PDA was also tasked with coordinating with town planning organization, Jammu and CEPT to address the same in Master Plan which is under revision.
The Div Com empathized with the difficulties that people face when seeking building permissions for construction of their homes because still so called BOCA of PDA is allowing Bye Laws of MP of 2000, which are totally illegal & is in open violation of Development Act of 1970.
It is also to mention here that after a gap of year, then DC Udhampur Udhampur as BOCA Chairman conducted a BOCA meet & till day did not issued minutes of meeting by which few permissions & other issues would have been resolved.
Now, let the public wait & watch, what progress will come out after next 15 days?
