Bhubaneswar, Sep 18: Following a complaint that Ajaya Kumar Moharana, Forester, Parikuda Section in the district was demanding bribe of Rs 10,000 to release 10 seized fishing nets, the Vigilance set a trap.
The complainant had called up on toll free number of Odisha Vigilance and filed his grievance. As per the plan, the complainant went to give the bribe and the Vigilance sleuths nabbed the Forester while accepting the money.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches were going on at two locations of Moharana from DA angle.
Bhubaneswar Vigilance has registered a case under PC Amendment Act, 2018 in this connection and further investigation is in progress.
