RAJOURI, AUGUST 20: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today conducted whirlwind tours of PMGSY Sub Division Rajouri and Block Doongi and inspected progress of work on a number of developmental projects including Prime Minister Sadak Yojana projects and Jal Jeevan Mission schemes, respectively.
ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn PMGSY Rajouri, Subash Chander accompanied the DDC during the visit to the twin areas.
The DDC inspected the progress of work on 24 KM Pathan Mohra Pallulian road being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 21.64 crore and 10 KM Doongi Keri Nagoon road completed at an estimated cost of Rs 5.34 crore.
The concerned officers were directed to adhere to the timelines and ensure close monitoring to maintain the quality of work.
He also called for making coordinated efforts while executing developmental works to overcome any hindrance or bottlenecks to avoid delay in the execution and provide early benefit to the targeted population.
En-route, the DDC also interacted with locals who apprised him about a number of issues and demands of their areas. He assured the public that their genuine concerns would be redressed in a time bound manner.
Taking stock of the Keri to Tridwal Bridge, it was informed that the estimated cost of the project is 1.25 crore. It was further informed that the bridge is complete while work on the approach road is pending due to lack of funds.
The DDC also inspected the proposed JJM water supply scheme at Dherian estimated to cost Rs 6.26 crore. The work on the scheme would be started soon after the allotment of tenders, the DCC was told.
Meanwhile, the DDC also inspected PHC Chatyar where he interacted with the staff and asked them to put in dedicated efforts to provide best possible Medicare facilities to the general public.
He also asked the officers to accelerate the pace of developmental process in the block and ensure that all the works are completed within the set deadlines so that the public of the area is benefited.
The DDC also directed for maintaining the quality standards in construction works and conduct of regular field visits to monitor the progress on the works.
