Jammu, July 15 : A deputation of All J&K Graduate Engineers Association, Civil led by Er. Gopal Sharma President today met Principal Secretary, Jal Shakti Dept, Sh. Ashok Kumar Parmar (IAS) and conveyed him warm thanks for acting promptly to remove stagnation by way of recent promotion orders of 29 AEE to Executive Engineers, 102 AE to AEE during a span of last two months immediately after taking over the charge of Jal Shakti Deptt and opening the deadlock in promotions.
This will pragmatically help in better performance by engineers towards achieving proficiency of development of vital projects especially Hydroelectric by Chenab Valley Power Projects Ltd., JKSPDC etc. and all the promoted engineers who are at the verge of retirement or stagnated at the same post since long time are with infusion of new blood and energy.
In the comprehensive meeting held in very Ppl Secretary told that all the other available vacancies at all Levels from AE to C.E will be filled shortly.
Besides, Regularization of services of Engineers at all levels is also in the pipe line and results of the hard work being done by the subordinate staff will be visible soon.
Moreover, the Reorganization of Engineering deptt with cadre review, will also be done and matter of Issuance of SRO for already approved Assured Career Progression scheme for Engineers will also be taken up with the higher Administrative Authorities.
Association also requested to issue orders from Xen to S.E and S.E to C.E. It was learnt during the meeting that file of Promotions of SEs as Chief Engineers is likely to be approved in forthcoming establishment Committee meeting after which necessary orders will be issued.
Mr. Parmar also said that he is keen to resolve all the issues and Engineers should refrain from going to Courts which complicate the issues and lot of time is wasted in resolving the issues.
Apart from this Mr.Parmar also discussed some Water conservation programs and took some suggestions from the Association regarding water conservation and some important projects in J&K which need special attention in which Er. Rakesh Gupta also gave his experience based suggestions.
Ppl Secretary said that promotions are being made for time bound completion of various development works especially meeting the time frame of Jal Jeevan Mission.
In a handout issued Er. Gopal Sharma expressed high satisfaction over the resolution of various demands on fast track basis by Ppl Secretary, a man of prompt action with broad vision.
