Youth Congress State Working president Fairoz Khan accorded rousing reception at Ramban


 

 
Ramban, Apr 15: A grand reception was accorded to J&K Pradesh Youth Congress Working President, Fairoz Khan on his visit to his home town after becoming working president of State unit of Youth Congress.
He is the first one from Chenab Valley to lead youth congress at state level. Khan holds the feather of being the first NSUI National president from the state of J&K. The reception was given by the District Congress Committee, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress and NSUI Ramban unit members.
A large number of Congress leaders, workers, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress workers and NSUI activists gathered at Ramban bus stand and accorded grand welcome to Fairoz Khan by garlanding and beating drums from where the reception rally in the form of procession starting from bus stand on bikes, proceeded to Khan’s office at Maitra in Ramban.
The function was held at Ramban various leaders of the congress party and senior leaders and prominent citizens were present and also expressed their views while congratulating Fairoz Khan for his appointment.
Speakers while addressing the gathering congratulated Fairoz Khan on being appointed as working president. They also thanked Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi besides National President of IYC B. V. Srinivas & IYC incharge Krishna ji, who appointed a boy from far flung area of Pogal Paristan in District Ramban as working president of Youth Congress. They added that Fairoz Khan is the first one from Chenab valley to hold this responsible post. It was also emphasised that Fairoz was first one from J&K State to be appointed as National president NSUI which clearly reflects the vision of congress leadership who has opened the door of politics to the youth of common family and Fairoz Khan is the source of inspiration for all youth of J&K.
Fairoz Khan extended gratitude to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, B.V. Srinivas along with senior leadership of the congress party who have given him a responsibility to led the J&K unit of world’s largest youth organisation. He also thanked all the supporters, congress workers and local leaders and social activists who whole heartedly supported and gave warm reception at his hometown Ramban.
The other leaders who spoke on the occasion was Arun Singh Raju former district president congress committee, Tariq hafiz, Khalid wani, Ayaz katoch, Ashraf khan, Fayaz koka, Aftab magray, zakir, Irfan katoch, Zeeshan bali and others
