JAMMU, NOVEMBER 17- Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal today convened a meeting to discuss the modalities for laying of field track and upgradation of other sports facilities in GGM Science College.
These facilities are being upgraded under the special package for development of sports infrastructure in the State (PMDP).
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh, Principal GGM Science college, Dr Ajeet Angral and representatives of Youth Services and Sports, J&K Sports Council and Police Department.
During the meeting the Divisional Commissioner directed the representatives to have thorough discussion of the blue print for the above facilities with the National Projects Construction Corporation, a government of India concern involved in the development of the blueprint. He further directed the concerned to formulate a subcommittee comprising a member each from the college, J&K sports council and YSS to fast track the process so as to construct the world class sports facilities at the earliest, for the youth of the region alongwith in depth focus on design encompassing ease of utility of sports and ample public conveniences.
