
Srinagar: An extraordinary meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee took place in Srinagar under the able leadership of Mr. Shah Fayaz (President JKECC). Addressing media after the meeting, Mr. Fayaz said that it is the government employees who actually run the administration. Mr. Fayaz said, "Government employees in essence constitute the government therefore their aspirations/grievances demand timely fulfillment/redress".
In the meeting threadbare discussions were made regarding the issues confronting the employees of different departments. The cadre members pledged unequivocally to strive for solving the issues and problems of the employees. Mr. Fayaz said, "we'll keep raising the genuine demands of employees on every forum and platform until same are fulfilled".
The burning issue like regularisation of adhoc/contractual employees, streamlining the payment of emoluments in favour of ICDS workers, formulation of transfer policy for Teacher Grade-II/III, streamlining of career progression in different departments, transfer of overstaying employees etc. were discussed and Mr. Shah said that each and every issue will be raised so that justice prevails. Welcoming the decision of UT Government to transfer the overstaying employees Mr. Fayaz said, that it was a long pending demand of JKECC.
Commending the efforts of employees, Mr. Fayaz said that the government employees gave their cent percent during covid crisis and delivered routine duties while at the same time worked as front line warriors in the covid mitigation process. Mr. Fayaz said, that government employees were are and will always continue to render a helping hand in the smooth functioning of the government and same stands proven by the efforts they have put in during covid epidemic.
Appealing to the cadre members, Mr. Shah asked them to strive for resolving the genuine issues of the employees while at the same time work efficiently for strengthening the Organisation.
At last, Mr. Fayaz thanked Principal/Commissioner Secretaries, Divisional Commissioner Jammu/Kashmir and Honourable Lt. Governor JK UT for the support rendered from time to time by them to employees of UT. Hopefully, the genuine demands of the employees will be given due consideration by the administration said, Mr. Shah.
