JAMMU, Nov 07: Sub Divisional Magistrate alongwith Tehsildar Katra, Local Police and employees of the Municipal Committee, Katra conducted a surprise inspection of the Ban Ganga Road with a view to take first hand note on the encroachments.
Two illegal Rehris belonging to Kewal Krishan and Sanjay Kumar were seized. The license to the later has been sublet by one Sanjay Kumar R/O Arli Hansali. A dhaba owned by Mr Rajesh had also encroacged road by installing fridge, a Rehri, water cooler and a sign board etc. All this stuff was also seized by the MC, Katra. Apparently, it seemed that the said Dhaba owner has constructed his establishment by encroaching road.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Katra directed the officials of Municipal Committee Katra to look into the said issue and after proper enquiry submit a detailed action taken report. A warning was given to all not to encroach road to put the traffic commuters/Yatris/locals at risk. The MC, Katra and Police was asked to execute directions.
