UDHAMPUR, JULY 02: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today said that district administration has deployed 12 magistrates to enforce Covid Safety protocol which is imperative to stop fresh surge of positive cases.
Briefing the media, the DC expressed concern over people not giving much importance to Covid appropriate behavior.
The DC observed that huge rush of people without wearing face masks is witnessed at many places which weakens the efforts to check the transmission of virus.
She informed that the District Administration has appointed 12 magistrates who are working in the urban areas for enforcing the Covid appropriate behavior.
These Magistrates have collected huge fine from the people who violated the Covid guidelines. She said that people are ready to pay fine of Rs. 500 but not wearing face mask of Rs. 20.
The DC said that the District Administration has repeatedly appealed the public to cooperate with the District Administration to break the chain of Corona virus.
She advised the public of the district to adopt Covid appropriate behavior and follow SOPs like wearing face masks, washing hands with soap regularly and maintain social distancing.
Warning stern action for non compliance of the government guidelines, she said every step will be taken to control Covid in the larger interest of public.
