Director Tourism jammu interacts with tour operators of Maharashtra,Gujarat and Delhi.


 

Jammu, Mar 25: The Director tourism Jammu,Dr. Naseem  Javaid Chowdhary held an interactive meeting with travel and tour operators of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi on the sidelines of SATTE at Noida. SATTE is one of the prominent travel exhibitions of South Asia in which J&K participates every year.
 
While highlighting the variety of tourism products in the Jammu region like pilgrimage, heritage, adventure, border tourism, the Director lauded the tour operators from these states for providing continuous support to Jammu and Kashmir tourism.
While interacting with the tour operators, he gave a detailed presentation to the participants on tourist destinations of Jammu. Besides, he exhorted upon the tour operators from these states to include the newly developed circuit, "Parikrama"in their itineraries.The circuit which surrounds Mata Vaishno Devi, covering a distance of approximately 98 kms
starts from Katra and will cover spots like Aghar Jitto, Nau Deviyan temple, Baba Dhansar, Kali Mata temple, Bhimgarh fort, Mahadev temple, Toot, Sukhalghat, Jangal Gali and Muttal reaching back to Katra.
 
The travel operators thanked the Director for a detailed presentation on Jammu destinations and expressed hope that the meeting will further boost the longstanding relationship between J&K and these states. During the interaction, various suggestions were put forth and the Director assured them that these will be considered by the Department.
The Managing Director J&K  Cable Car Corporation Majid Khalil Drabu also briefed the tour operators about the recently launched cable car project at Bahu ropeway Station at Jammu as also those at Gulmarg and Patnitop. The General Manager, JKTDC, Sukriti Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
