Leh, Feb27: Deputy Commissioner / Chief Executive Officer LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today conducted his maiden tour to Rong Block.
DC Leh was welcomed by Councillor, Kungyam, Thinles Nurboo, along with Sarpanch, Mentok Lanzes; Sub-Divisional Magistrate , Nyoma, Dorje Gyaltson, Chairperson, Block Development Council, Jigmet Yountan, Block Development Officer, Naresh Kumar, Tehsildar, Vilayat Ali, nambardar and villagers of Hemya.
DC Leh had public meetings at Hemya and Chumathang where he interacted with the public and listened to their grievances. He also visited the Primary Health Centre at Hemya and also the Naibat and Block Development Office.
During his visit to PHC Hemya, the DC Leh was apprised of the issues faced by the villagers, such as the shortage of paramedical staff. Councillor Thinles Norbu requested DC Leh to look into the long-pending issue faced by people of Hemya.
The early execution of work on land development at Thang-go for which a proposal of Rs 14 lakh out of Councillor’s Constituency Development Fund has been submitted to DC Leh and the protection of the hot spring at Chumathang by binding crates along the Indus River to maintain its beauty were the other issues discussed during the visit.
DC Leh was also apprised of the grievances of the villagers such as the upgradation of the high school, sanctioning of 4G tower for better connectivity, empowerment of the Naib Tehsildar under SRO-46, the construction of Naibat office/ staff quarter, and the construction of rest house/PWD guest house at Chumathang.
DC Leh assured the villagers to look into the issues. He directed Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nyoma to submit a detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of the office complex for Naib Tehsildar and the guest house at Chumathang.
