Jammu, 14.02.2026 Today on 14.02.2026,an information was received at Police Station Bishnah regarding the kidnapping and sexual assault of a minor girl within the jurisdiction of P/S Bishnah.
Acting promptly on the complaint, a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the POCSO Act was registered, and investigation was immediately taken up.
Special police teams were constituted, and swift action was initiated using both technical evidence as well as human intelligence inputs.
Continuous field efforts, area searches, and coordinated operations were conducted.As a result of the prompt and coordinated action by the police, the alleged suspect namely ArjunLakhotra S/o late Rashpaul Kumar R/o Dinday Khurd, Bishnah, Age 27 years has been apprehended.
The victim has been safely recovered and provided necessary medical assistance and support as per legal protocol.
Further investigation of the case is underway. Scientific evidence is being collected and all legal formalities are being completed.
Legal proceedings against the accused have been initiated as per law. Jammu Police reiterate their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens and assure strict action against anyone found involved in such heinous crimes.
