DC Ramban assures the public that all genuine demands would be addressed in a time-bound manner

RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 11: In a continued effort to bring the administration closer to the people and ensure responsive, transparent and people-centric governance, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted a public grievance redressal camp at Natna area of Block Rajgarh under the ongoing public outreach programme aimed at addressing citizens’ concerns at their doorsteps.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and delegations from surrounding Panchayats including Ghari, Kumate, Rajgarh and Draman. Several senior district officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner, including ACD Sheraz Ahmed, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Assistant Director Employment, CAHO, DSHO, and Executive Engineers of PWD, PMGSY and JPDCL, among others.

Listening patiently to the grievances and developmental concerns projected by the public, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to resolve all genuine issues in a time-bound and result-oriented manner.

Emphasising infrastructure strengthening, he instructed the Executive Engineer JPDCL to install steel electric poles in the area to improve the power distribution network and ensure reliable electricity supply.

Addressing road connectivity issues, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned executing departments to ensure proper maintenance of the Karol–Halla road up to Natna.

He also instructed the Executive Engineer PMGSY to examine the pending portion of the road project up to Kumate and ensure installation of crash barriers to enhance road safety.

In the health sector, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Medical Officer to deploy a weekly medical team comprising a doctor, paramedical staff, ambulance and essential medicines to provide accessible healthcare services to the residents.

He also stressed the need to strengthen educational facilities in the area to ensure better learning opportunities for students. The Deputy Commissioner further directed the Flood Control Department to include necessary protection works in their plans.

He informed that flood protection works worth ₹20 lakh have already been initiated in recently affected areas and asked officers to assess additional requirements for the protection of vulnerable locations.

En route to the Ramban, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with various deputations and individuals, patiently hearing their concerns and issuing on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments for prompt redressal.

The Deputy Commissioner assured the public that all genuine demands would be addressed in a time-bound manner.
