Bandipora, Feb 10: The Chief Education Officer Bandipora has issued show-cause notices to the Principals and Headmasters of several schools for failing to attend an official meeting held at High School Bagh on February 10.
According to an official notice issued by the Examination Section of the CEO’s office, the meeting was convened vide order dated February 5, 2026, with clear instructions for the concerned heads to attend personally.
However, the heads of HSS Arin, HSS Ajas, GHS Hajin, HS Charnpal, HS Jurniyal, HS Matagam, Gurez, HS Muqamyar, HS Vijpara, HS Chewa, HS Choorwan, HS Wanpora, HS Tarbal, and HS Ganastan reportedly failed to attend without seeking prior permission.
The CEO described the absences as “Gross Negligence” of official duties and a violation of departmental instructions. The notice directs all concerned officials to submit their written explanations personally before the CEO on February 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
It also warned that failure to respond within the stipulated time would attract action as per rules, without further notice. The order has been marked as most urgent, with copies forwarded to the School Education Department, District Development Commissioner Bandipora, and Director School Education Kashmir for information.
