Kishtwar, 03-02-2026 The 5th meeting of the District Level Cooperative Development Committee (DLCDC) was held under the chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner (DC), Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS) (Chairman, DLCDC).
The meeting was convened by the Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies (Agri.), Kishtwar, Sh. Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal (JKAS).
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on key agenda items, including the computerization of PACS under the 2nd phase, implementation of the World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in the cooperative sector, approval of projects under the Cooperative Infrastructure Development Fund Scheme, and establishment of PACS as Pradhan Mantri Kisaan Samridhi Kendras/Kisaan Khidmat Ghars.
The District Development Commissioner emphasized the need to strengthen the cooperative movement at the grassroots level, highlighting the vital role of cooperatives in ensuring the socio-economic empowerment of the people.
He directed the concerned officers and committee members to coordinate closely to ensure the effective and time-bound implementation of various initiatives at the grassroots level.
The Chair also directed the concerned officers to expedite the implementation of various initiatives at the grassroots level, including the operationalization of PACS as PM Kisaan Samridhi Kendras/Kisaan Khidmat Ghars, identification of feasible and suitable land parcels for the Grain Storage Plan, and timely approval of PACS under the Computerization of PACS (2nd phase) with respect to District Kishtwar.
The meeting concluded with directions to ensure effective coordination and time-bound execution of all approved initiatives.
