Sopore, Jan 15: Authorities withheld salaries of two tehsil office Watergam employees over their unauthorised absence from their duties.
It said that during a surprise check at Tehsil Office, Watergam by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sopore, SA Raina, two officials namely Ishrat Fatima and Mohammad Arif – were found absent unauthorizedly, which prompted action.
The absentees were asked to explain their position within two days, the official said, adding that their salaries have been withheld pending further directions.
