Ramban, January 1: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today inspected various developmental works and reviewed the status of maintenance work at the proposed accommodation at Kowbag to assess the arrangements for the commencement of the long-awaited academic activities of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Ramban.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Varunjeet Singh Charak, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shokat Hayat Mattoo, Tehsildar Deep Kumar, and other concerned officers.
Deputy Commissioner directed the NHAI and other executing agencies to speed up the pace of progress to complete the ongoing construction and maintenance works of roads and other projects within the prescribed timeframe.
He also instructed the officers to clear the land under the viaduct at Ramban for its utilization as a parking facility.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the ongoing maintenance and preparatory works at the identified accommodation and reviewed the availability and condition of classrooms, sanitation facilities, drinking water supply, and overall infrastructure required for the smooth start of academic work.
Emphasizing the importance of a safe, clean, and student-friendly environment, the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure proper maintenance of the premises, with special focus on cleanliness and upkeep of toilets for the convenience and hygiene of students. He stressed timely completion of all necessary works before the start of classes.
The District Administration has redoubled its efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure in the district, and the Deputy Commissioner assured that all necessary support will be extended to ensure the smooth functioning of KV Ramban at its temporary location until permanent arrangements are put in place.
