Srinagar, Dec 26: Minister Sakeena Itoo today said that those “misleading” youth and students over the reservation issue should approach the Lieutenant Governor’s office to ascertain the status of the Cabinet-approved decision as Omars Government has already completed its role in the reservation amendment, with the Council of Ministers approving the proposal and forwarding it to the Lieutenant Governor for approval.
She said some individuals were “deliberately misleading” students and youth and unfairly criticizing the Government despite it having done its part. These people are ignorant and are misleading the youth.
She added that Government’s role in the reservation matter has already been completed. The Council of Ministers has approved the changes and submitted the same to the Lieutenant Governor for approval & now the ball is in the court of LG, now it is up to him to clear on which day?
She questioning some leaders said that "If they need to protest, they should protest before the LG’s office".
She further appealed to students not to be misled by what she described as hollow slogans against the Government, asserting that the decision taken was in the best interest of youth and aspirants.
