J&K: CAT questions JAL SHAKTI BOSSES for fixing less pension?

Jammu, April 18: In O.A./439/2025 (JAMMU) titled SUBASH CHANDER Vs JAL SHAKTI DEPARTMENT  after hearing CAT ordered as under:-

Heard the learned counsel for the applicant.

Mr. Sunil Kumar, learned counsel for the applicant submitted that the applicant was granted Higher Payscale in terms of SRO-59, thereafter, he continued to draw his monthly wages, as per the Higher Pay Grade, however, after his retirement from services as Assistant Lineman on 31.05.2022, instead of fixing his pension at Rs. 28450/-, on the basis of last pay of Rs. 56,900/- drawn by the applicant, the respondents have fixed his pension at reduced amount of Rs. 17500/-.

Issue notices to respondents.

Mr. Dewakar Sharma, learned D.A.G. and Mr. Akshay Sadotra, learned counsel appear and accept notices on behalf of Respondents No. 1, 2 & 3 and Respondent No. 4 respectively.

List on 16.05.2025.
