JAMMU, Apr 17:Government always speaks of developing Tourist places & other areas but never acted that how such can be done without Master Plans of the said areas & above all can verify from the issue of so called revised Master Plans of Patnitop Dev Authority, which was in first notified in the year 2000 & J&K Development Act of 1970 clearly reads to revise the Master Plans after every 05 years or early if required as per local needs but till date despite lapse of 25 years revised MP of PDA is still hanging in fire.
It is to mention here that years back Govt has spent LAKHS for formulation of revised Master Plan of PDA but till day despite lapse of around more than 05 years its status is non known.
It is to mention here that an exercise to revise the Jammu Master Plan-2032 was also initiated in the month of October last year, which was notified in March 2017, but yet not been completed despite the fact that there is need to complete this task promptly but as per the need till day so called Town Planning Officers of JDA did not bother to frame Zonal Plans for more detailing's as per instructions on J&K Development Act of 1970.
With personal efforts of Mandeep Kour, Comm/Secy, H&UDD & Bhawani Rakwal, then VC JDA, Draft of the Revised Jammu Master Plan-2032 was prepared and was put in the public domain by present VC Pankaj Sharma on October 14, 2024 and long time of 02 months as December 14, 2024 was fixed as last date for inviting objections and suggestions. However, even more four months after the last date for submission of objections and suggestions the exercise has not reached the logical conclusion.
If the matter has been pursued by the Jammu Development Authority the revised Jammu Master Plan-2032 could have been finalized till now but till then public shall be kept harassed by incompetent Town Planning Officer/Officials for rejecting BP Cases by different means without Zonal Plans & above all on so called "PROPOSED ROADS" which were proposed in MP in March 2017 but till day none of the road has been notified by JDA nor constructed but JMC/JDA are rejecting BP cases of innocents, who wanted to pay money to Govt as BP Fee by quoting plot falls under "PROPOSED ROAD" raised a pointer towards their working?
It is to mention here that if some special teams verify the alignment of so called "Proposed Roads" it shall be found with countless constructions on those roads but without any Building Permission with consent of JDA & JMC by proved gratification but if one innocent apply for legal BP Case being rejected by quotig Proposed Road issue needed to be enquired.
