Srinagar, Apr 15: Private Hospitals empanelled under the AB-PMJAY SEHAT Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene for their pending payments, citing severe financial distress.
They said the State Health Agency decision to reserve four major surgical procedures for public hospitals has affected the hospitals & said restrictions on surgical procedures and slow payment will have bad consequences and may lead to private hospitals shutting down, reducing healthcare options for beneficiaries.
They also demanded that the government re-examine the restrictions on surgical procedures which can ensure beneficiaries have access to health services.
It is to mention here that in Jammu and Kashmir, there are a total of 251 hospitals empanelled under the PMJAY scheme which includes 133 private hospitals and 118 public hospitals but had ever some high level committee bothered to verify the rates charged by these Pvt hospitals in various treatments & they were also part of their loot as it has never been seen display of rates of various treatments in Pvt hospital & charitable hospitals, which are getting some kind of Govt Facilities are also looting public.
Had ever license renewal committee members verified facilities required in the said hospital along with required parking, ICU, display of rates before renewing such hospitals & are it being renewed every year at the required day & month
