JAMMU, Apr 14: Coinciding with submitting the official bid for hosting AFC of Asian Cup 2031 by All India Football Federation Arun Malhotra, undertook a meaningful journey to AFC headquarters at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In a significant development a renowned former Indian footballer and Technical Member of the All India Football Federation, recently undertook a visit to Malaysia, and had purposeful visited to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) headquarters in Kuala Lumpur during his tour to Malaysia. During his visit, Arun had the pleasure of meeting with officials from the AFC, engaging in in- depth and enlightening discussions about the current state of football across Asia, with a particular emphasis on India.

The conversations centered around the ongoing growth and development of football in the region, with a specific focus on the challenges and opportunities faced by both emerging and established football nations. His visit marked a significant milestone in his post-playing career, as it deepened his involvement in the administrative side of the sport. Relevant to mention that the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has officially submitted its bid to host the AFC Asian Cup 2031, a move that would draw the continent's top footballers to India.

Speaking on the airport at the time of his departure from Malaysia, Mr. Arun Malhotra said that AIFF is taking all necessary steps for ensuring excellent performance of blue tigers in all major tournaments including AFC Asian Cup. With a sense of optimism, he said that there is a bright future of Asian football particularly Indian football.
